How many cams do you run?

-How many cams do you hang and over how big of an area? I feel under-cammed, but I don’t know how deep that rabbit hole goes...

I'm running ~10 on 172 acres. Four are on gates and really used more for security although I do get game pictures on them. Would love to have another 5 or so but cameras and batteries aren't free! I try to maximize efficiency by moving some of them. I have good spring/summer mineral spots, those cameras are typically moved to other locations for fall pictures. Pinch points, rub/scrape lines, food plots, etc. If someone gave me 10 cameras tomorrow I could easily find spots to put them. With that, I don't typically check them during the season. Just good overall intel on how deer use our property.

I have 2-4 cameras out year round on 80 acres. Honestly, it's more for keeping tabs on my hunting property than for hunting. It's fun to see nice deer in the videos, but it hasn't helped me pattern any of them honestly.

Completely agree with this. Forgot to mention but my cameras are out year round as well.

Currently zero, our property got cut this year so I pulled everything and never got a chance to get back out. I was thinking of changing to the cuddelink system. Does anyone have an experience with those?

I run 5 cameras on a 580 acre private spot and rotate 3 more around different small chunks of public land.

I have 3 cameras and a home. The home is on my back porch. It’s a good amount of money but I hope to keep adding. I love getting pics without intruding. The batteries go quick when it’s cold. With the price of cell cams coming down, I don’t know which is best.

Not sure if you hunt public, private or a mix of both. I have 1 piece of private that me and my buddies all have pitched in 1-2 cam's each so we have a total of 10-12 out on 2000 acres. We'd love to have more, but 10-12 pretty much covers the spots where the deer hang out there.

Since we have all agreed that we will only shoot 4.5 or older deer there, I hunt a lot of public in the mean time just to get rid of my itchy trigger finger. I have 4 cellular cam's and 2 cheapo cam's that get rotated all over different public properties. I love the real time info cell cams can give you, especially since public land pressure can change the deer patterns very drastically since you scouted in the spring/summer. I just shot a buck earlier in the week on public which my cell cam tipped me off about. I got pics two evenings in a row right at the end of shooting light and decided to go in there on the third evening and sure enough, 4 minutes before shooting light ended.... out he comes. otherwise I may have never moved in there this year.

I have two cameras and my buddy has two. We use that for 134 acres. I also will place mine on public land if I am interested in something.
