My amsteel bridge is showing the beginning signs of fraying. Does anyone else have this problem and what can I do to prevent it? I was thinking bow wax but dont want to mess it up.
Are you sure it is fraying? Could it be the bury getting pushed through? Here is mine. That stuff on the right side of the carabiner is the bury just getting pushed through; at least I hope it is Pete

How long does the bury need to be on the locked brummels? I made a 27" long bridge with amstel, but when the bury slides through the carabiner, the end of the bury starts to show. I was thinking about making the bury about 5"-4" instead of 8" and maybe I won't have this issue anymore. Does anyone see anything dangerous with making the bury that short?
