Was invited up to a friend's place to hunt never been there before. I plan on going in blind scouting my way in sorta thing I've got some limited time up there, wondering where you all would start so I'm not wasting my time. Any input would be great and appreciated greatly.

I would be headed directly to that oxbow to the north and look for sign. A buck is probably going to bed there with a north wind and he will face to the south since its rather unlikely something will swim across, but ive also had them here in FL bed there on a south wind so I feel like its specific to the deer. In any case I would try to get across that water and set up without winding him probably on a NE wind. If you can't get in across water I would hug the south side of the tree line leading to the oxbow and try to find any sign that he might be moving through. If you can find any spot where they're crossing that river that would also be solid, but since it looks like a small area I would get in hunt, make a plan, get out. Otherwise you might bust them out of there if you wander around all day.

If possible i would try to enter and exit through the river if it isnt too deep. That way your sent doesnt get left behind on the ground.
