How would you hunt this area of public?

This area of public is approximately 1400 acres with a couple of private areas in the middle. Road highlighted with red is also a private road. Not looking for world class deer just looking to get a decent buck. I have a few places in mind that I want to check out but want to see if I’m headed down the right path. Thanks for any advice…I’m willing to put in the steps!

Thanks! I should have also mentioned that the northern ag fields are unfortunately full of cotton this year….I really like the way that funnel on the NE looks between the corner of the field and the marsh. That’s the first spot that stood out to me too.

Looks like you have a lot of good terrain features to focus activity. If I were going in there these are some areas I would plan to look at, along with the areas Kyler1945 outlined, as well.

I agree with @kyler1945, but I would add these spots as well. Not only would they be a little overlooked but terrain features. That’s why I put on this other map to mark. The one with an arrow in the middle I would only hunt evening. That point would be a good bedding overlook the marsh area to me. Need a cross wind. Good luck! Hope this helps.
