So my primary hunting land is 4 hours from the house, so once I get in the stand I don't like moving and try to make the most of every minute. My problem is I get hungry. What do you guys take in the stand? I have tried kind bars, cliff bars, granola bars, sandwiches, home made protein bars.... They all leave me wanting more. I am not eating the whole time and I will pre open them at the truck to get rid of those noisy wrappers. I am game to try a bunch of stuff from homemade to store bought. Help this fat kid out, please.

I just read a do and don't eat list keto diet list. I am thinking NOPE. No fruit was the nail in the coffin.

I have two cups of coffee in the morning with heavy whipping cream only and go hunting in a tree. I sit all day till near dark and I am not hungry. I eat keto, mostly. I eat fruit when available. Strict keto is only if you want to lose weight. On keto, you have minimal glycogen reserves so your body turns to fat for fuel. Heavy whipping cream is mostly fat and I carry additional fat around my waist for fuel. I just use that. No hunger, I swear. I would not have believed it if I had not experienced it.

Keto has too many rules and weight this and balance that and that kinda nonsense for me. Follow the chart posted above and eat to your little heart’s content and you’ll be fine.

And yes when your body switches over to burning fat instead of sugar you may well have to remind yourself to eat.

High carbs, low protein = me still hungry. Jerky is a great option for filling my belly without leaving me hungry 30 minutes later.

I usually take dried cranberry, couple oranges, and peanut butter in a tupperware....I will normally take my little cook stove and some ramen if I want to have something warm at the truck

Protein bars do a good job of keeping hunger at bay. Fruit snacks are another good one. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are good. If I know I’m going to be out long enough to eat, I put prepackaged food into ziplocks. They don’t make as much noise as wrappers and are more convenient.
I would avoid dry cruchy stuff.

Jerky and mixed nuts are good. Pack well and stay fresh and smell is low. Another thing to consider is this: One day of hunger is not starvation. That’s an old African proverb. I really took that to heart when I was trying to lose weight. If I had already eaten food I worked on my willpower and told my body look you’ve already eaten, you have enough to function you aren’t going to starve.

I know all about starvation. I wrestled for 8 years and used to go literally 3 days a week without any real food. I used to walk around at 200 lbs in the off season and would wrestle for 4 months a year at 160/171 lbs.

I don't want to make a lifestyle change, I was just looking for a good protein bar/ meal replacement bar people have used and liked or someone's secret. Thank you for all the ideas.

Cool. I like pro bars. If you can find them.

The secret is eating carbs will make you more hungry a short time later. There are many anecdotes attesting to this. Chinese food, pasta, etc.
