What do you bike experts have to say about this bike?
I know very little about bikes but I've been trying to learn about E bikes...saw a video from a E bike "expert" that said to stay away from 250W bikes.I don't think I'm allowed to use an e-bike for hunting here, but even so, this one is getting loud in a corner of my mind.
E-SPARROW
The e-Sparrow is based on our incredibly simple, lightweight and easy to use Sparrow platform. Beyond the wonderfully approachable price-point, the throttle feature is what makes these special. Like the Sparrow, the e-Sparrow also includes a pump. These bikes weigh in at an astonishingly light...detroitbikes.com

if you hunt flat ground with paved paths that might be nice. i would spend the xtra 5 and get something with a little more under the hood. lots of sub 1k bikes on ebay and amazon that prolly do betterI don't think I'm allowed to use an e-bike for hunting here, but even so, this one is getting loud in a corner of my mind.

Just pick you up a cheap beach cruiser from Walmart like a huffy: get the camo Walmart spray paint and a brown wicker basket. You’ll be in there. Or you could go extreme like some people and get that fancy Rambo electric bike that Dan-O is selling. I hear they’re niceWow, that's nice of you! I'm out of Mobile, Al. But I work close to Pensacola, Fl, and would be willing to drive that way too. Some of those old white folks on the beach have nicer stuff than is river rats.
You've definitely given me a starting place. Definitely like that bicycle bluebook idea!
If you decide to get an e-bike get one with a derailleur and not the Sturmey Archer 3 speed. I know guys worry about breaking the derailleur but if you strip the 3 speed you can't go to a regular bike shop to get the part unlike a derailleur which you can get at any bike shop. Just do your research and take your time. I have a derailleur on my e-bike and never had a problem with it in 4 years of hunting with it.Just pick you up a cheap beach cruiser from Walmart like a huffy: get the camo Walmart spray paint and a brown wicker basket. I will never in my life have an e bike. I walk miles through the woods and typically enjoy doing so. I cannot in any good sense purchase something as expensive as an electric bike, or perhaps my wife would kill me! Heck I’m still trying to imagine hauling a 200-300 lbs hog out of the woods with a bike. I mean game carts don’t even roll over the downed stumps and trees in our public lands. We don’t typically have the amazingly cut and cleared roads that some states have. Maybe it’s all the swamp or marsh but most of our “trails” are barely foot walking width for clearanceIf you decide to get an e-bike get one with a derailleur and not the Sturmey Archer 3 speed. If I didn't have one I would have a hard time hunting. A severe back injury kinda limits me.I will never in my life have an e bike. I walk miles through the woods and typically enjoy doing so. I would look for a more powerful motor like a 750 watt or better. The cost would be a little more but not by much. There are 750 watt bikes in the 1500 to 1700 dollar range. These are all hub drive bikes. Here's mine it cost 1699. It's a 2018 RadroverI don't think I'm allowed to use an e-bike for hunting here, but even so, this one is getting loud in a corner of my mind.

Art, you probably know more about this than me, but doesn't the 750 watt threshold put bikes in the motor vehicle class? If so, then there are more restrictions on where it can be ridden. Am I correct on that?I would look for a more powerful motor like a 750 watt or better. The cost would be a little more but not by much. There are 750 watt bikes in the 1500 to 1700 dollar range.
