Hunting Mentorship in NJ

So last year was my first year hunting and none of my friends/family currently hunt(I know I need some new friends!). I see and hear lots of things about people mentoring new hunters and was wondering if there was someone on the forum in southern NJ who could help me get my legs under me. I ordered a saddle and am hoping to do all of my hunting this year in the mantis. I have 2 small pieces of private land that I could hunt but plan to spend most time on public. I am in ocean county NJ.

I haven’t hunted in NJ myself but I’m pretty close in DE. I have often thought of licensing up in NJ even though I don’t have a ton of time to hunt. You can always hit me up though.
 
You could post some topo and aerial maps of your potential hunting area and we could probably give you some solid advice on where to go scout. You should also watch The Hunting Beast YouTube videos. Lots of really good info on them.

Latestart, where in Ocean county are you located? Myself and one other member on this site are in Ocean county also.
 
Im in Plumsted and the other guy is closer to you in Barnegat. I kayak fish for fluke down your way all the time by the old fish factory.

Nice! I have been thinking about getting a fishing kayak for a few years. Used to fish like crazy, decided to try hunting last year and now I’m hooked. Hoping to get my first deer this year.
