Anyone know if Huntstand has a "goto" or navigate feature. I used it on my computer to find a spot on public land I would like to check out. Marked the spot but for the life of me I cannot find any sort of navigate function. Hard to believe it is not there.

I don’t think it does but you can mark a path with a line and when you get to the field, just keep you arrow pointed up the line. Click on that little scope looking icon at the top left of the screen on your phone. It will show your location and point an arrow the way you are facing.

Thanks swampsnyper. That was my alternate plan. I am just surprise as I figured that would be a basic feature with all mapping software with custom waypoints. Oh well.

I never used a goto application before on anything. That just takes you in a straight line to your target. Rarely can ever go in a straight line anyway. As long as the navigation has and arrow showing my direction on the map, that’s all I need. I guess you can always zoom out enough to see your destination waypoint and your location on the screen and just keep it pointed at your destination and that’s the same as a goto application.

I find having a constant range/bearing to be handy for keeping my bearings, especially in the thick crap. With how detailed maps and aerials are these days it's easier to back out that info from a map view, but still odd to not have it.

Well I used Huntstand in the wild yesterday to get to a place I marked on the computer. With just the arrow, which I had not noticed previously, worked well. I also found it pretty darn accurate, I like it.

Thanks for all the feedback.

And unlike onx, you don’t have to down load offline maps. It automatically does it if you view the area a certain time before you hunt when you have a cell signal and it will stay loaded for a certain time. I can’t remember what the time period is. Maybe 2 day or 2 weeks.
