I caught the Covid-19 virus

Hope you recover quick with no permanent damage! My co-worker recovered but lost her sense of taste.
That supposedly comes back with time. My fathers taste has started to return, some 3 months later after initial infection

I have finally kicked this thing. I'll be honest...it was worse than I expected it to be. But most people will not have much issues with it. I'm not sure why I struggled with it so badly...I'm hardly ever sick. Stay safe out there and thanks for the thoughts and prayers!
Oh...I still haven't gained all my taste and smell back yet.

What initial symptoms did you have?

Fever...body aches....headaches....lost of taste and smell.
That sucks man. The reason I asked was because I wasn’t allowed to go into work today because of congestion and a sore throat. I guess I’m going to have to use sick days for a common cold too... No bother, I’m going to go shoot some doves.

Glad you’re on the up side of this thing. A guy at work got it a month ago and still can’t taste food.

Thanks for the updates and symptoms list. I have been out at fire camp in California for several weeks now. With all this dust and smoke inhalation and climbing mountains with hose packs while digging hot line, its hard to tell when you are getting sick or just beat down. It helps to know symptoms that real people are experiencing as I watch 0 news. I have to pay close attention as they told us our lungs are compromised from the work so Covid-19 can be worse or more potential for fatality in young/healthy people. This this simple thread has helped.

Definitely watch your breathing as this thing attacks your lungs obviously. Some nights I'd lay down and my breathing intensified...pretty rapidly. That'll mess with a guys head real quick. Just common sense and watch for those signs/symptoms and you should be on top of it. One thing I did (and i shouldn't have) was pretty much stopped eating a drinking....i was getting dehydrated pretty quickly. That's a definate no no. I can tell I'm still dehydrated some...but it's getting better.

Glad to hear you're doing better! I know quite a few people who have had it (all young & healthy) and they all said that it kicked them in the butt too.
