I just wanted to share my experience. I put a set of custom waxless strings on my elite enkore I put the stock pine ridge silencers from the factory strings on it but they kept sliding down. Then as an experiment I took a set of bowjax II off my old bow and tied them around the string with 2constrictor knots on each and butted them up to the pine ridges. Still sliding on that slick string. Went to the shop to buy bowjax that go between the strands and as I reached for them I saw beaver balls and thought what the heck for $7 I’ll give them a try. WOW. My bow is ultra quite now and they stay in place. If you can get past the looks of them, they work awesome!

I use them on recurves. They are awesome. They make your bow very quiet. Never tried them on a compound bow but I might now!
