I need a new pack. Help!

Mystery Ranch 2 day assault. It has a laptop sleeve inside the pack that just so happens to fit the predator platform in it perfectly. Can strap sticks to it and it has mollie loops galore. Excellent internal layout with 3 way zipper you open it all the way if needed.
Another vote for the 2 day assault. Best pack j have tried so far

Anybody needs a solid bomb proof lumbar pack check out the wilderness pack specialties Muley pack, I can’t kill the thing, it’s not super loaded with extra pockets and stuff but I like my packs simple and crazy tuff, when I still hunt and hunt off the ground covering miles through briars and nasty thick spots it’s what I take.

I’ve had that 2day assault in my cart numerous times but never could pull the trigger. Hearing about the noisy fabric makes me glad I did not I would have been disappointed. I like my Alpz Outdoors packs but the waist belts on the are made for giants. I think the 2 packs I have would both fit a 50 inch waist with no problem.

How is the fabric on the Alps some what quiet? I like this assault pack a lot, its a super high quality item, I have never had any luck finding the best of everything in a pack, there either quiet and limp as a noodle and won’t carry a load well or designed for hikers where noise isn’t an issue.

Just in case you don't already have enough option take some time and look into external frame packs. I bought an eberlestock f1 on sale last year and i can't believe how much it has revolutionized the way i approach using a back pack. i added 2 mollie pouches on the belt and 1 bat wing for storage. the rest of my gear all gets strapped to the pack. The bottom shelf keeps things from falling off and the straps keep everything nice and tight but also easily accessible.

i use this pack for all my outdoor activities from hunting, to ice and river fishing, to 2 week long portages. It's so much easier to find ways to attach things to a pack rather then trying to figure out how to put things into a pack.

Even though it seems like a big pack I bush wack with it all the time and have had no issue. Because of the high quality of the waist belt its a really nice pack to wear even when weighed down with over 45 lbs of gear.

Anyone else out there using an external frame? Would love to hear some suggestions on how to utilize it better

Both of mine Contender X and Big Bear X have quiet fabric on the outside (like tricot or something), zippers not so much, but after some bow string wax much better.

Hmmm... the 2 day assault is the same material as the treehouse, aerohunter kestrel and flex. Haven’t heard anyone mention how noisy they are....lol

I have a MR treehouse & have zero issues with the fabric...... I think the fabric helps give the pack some structure. I’ve read before that’s a knock on MR bags but I don’t get it. So all that to say MR gets my vote........ (ain’t mad at ya if you’re a fleece pack guy, but has never cost me an opportunity)

Sorry but noise is not a major issue, I have killed a ton of deer from hang and hunts and the noise getting to the tree of your choice outweighs most any other noise. Now once in the tree and set up it can make a difference but most are not fumbling around in their pack once set up. I have the Hornhunter for my saddle hunting and it's perfect. Shawn

Here you go:

I have an Eberlestock X2 that carries 4 cut helium sticks and a predator platform. I like it a lot. $150 on black Friday sale at optics planet.

is it super bulky in the tree? I have the alps pursuit pack and I love it but it’s a little bulky in the tree. Don’t think it will get me pegged but I do think it increases my odds of getting pegged.

Which Horn Hunter are you running? Im thinking about the Main Beam. I use a LW seat platform and DIY sticks with parts from DanO. ( Beast Replicas)
I want the best pack for hauling all that in the woods. Thanks

Has anyone used the XOP Striker Backpack? Can this hold climbing stick well enough?

Sorry don't get on much lately. I have the Horn Hunter and really like it. The XL was was a bit much as if I need a pack to pack more clothrd and such I have my old faithful Bison Gear Elkhunter. If it gets real cold, say under 20 degrees for highs than I will opt for more clothes stuffing ability!! Shawn
