I think I messed up...new bow dramas

Bought a new VXR a few months back after getting the new bow itch. Last weekend I pulled out my old back up bow, gave it a quick tune, sighted in, and I think I fell in love all over again. It is easier on the draw, and slightly slower, but I honestly think I shoot it better than the VXR. Now I am thinking it may replace tha VXR and be the main bow this year. Anyone else ever had anything like this happen? How did you explain what happened to your spouse? Hoping I’m not crazy here.

Exact same thing happened to me when I was building heavy arrows. Fell in love with the New Breed again. Think if I put a whisker biscuit on the PRIME it would still be no.1 though.

I had that happen with a motorcycle once. I rode an old Triumph bike for a few years, then bought a Harley to replace it. Riding the Triumph back from storage, I quickly find myself saying, "I can't get rid of you...." But the Harley is still my daily rider, while the Triumph is up on blocks.

I suspect the VXR will be like that, too.

I have been doing that also...

last year I bought a Vertix. Loved it at first. Went and shot my RealmX after a couple of months then sold the Vertix.

this year I bought a RevoltX. Sold it. I just shoot my RealmX so well. It feels perfect to me.

I kind of regret selling my prime and buying an elite. Really wanted another Prime, but pandemic had other plans. The elite is nice... it's just not a Prime.

After having shot 6-7 different brands of bows... I can conclude that Prime makes, what I feel, is the best shooting and easiest to tune bow on the market. The only other bow I felt even came close, but which was far more difficult to tune, was a PSE. The draw cycle on the PSE evolve cams is insanely smooth. The VXR is an OK-ish bow in my book. Nothing particularly good or bad about it. I shot the 31.5 and the 28.

I'll be picking up a used CT5/9 or a Black 5/9 after this season.

Just keep it the same color & she probably won't notice.

Maybe you just have to get more time in with vxr. I'd guess you have
a lot more time behind the older one. Which one is quieter?

still love my old hoyt carbon element. thing shoots darts man. cant push the EFOC arrows like my SR6 can though...and its LOUD

I bought a new bow this year and I love it but I am still hunting with my Mathews HTR. I have not found a bow yet that I enjoy shooting as much. I am also more accurate with my HTR
