I wondered why my saddle was hurting me on one side

Last couple times out, I had a slight discomfort on one side while hanging in the saddle. The one butt cheek was getting sore. I didn't really give it much thought - "oh, well," I thought, "it must just be the way I'm putting on the saddle."

Then, it finally dawned on me... ahhhh, shoot... THAT'S why!

I need to move my George-wallet out of my back pocket to my backpack or something :D

I carry a small, thin wallet when hunting with just an expired driver's license, my hunting licenses and my CPL in it. That way it never bothers me in the saddle. In fact I think it might even help stop the creep up that can occur. My regular wallet waits for me in the truck.

I never leave anything of value in my truck when parked in the woods. I live in Jersey. I trust no one. :expressionless:
I get the struggle. Used to live near Philly.
I used to have a specific spot in my backpack for the wallet. That said, take a pic of your driver’s/hunting license and tags and keep them in a specific album on your phone. Most states accept pics on your phone as acceptable credentials. If you get a wildlife officer who by chance wants to be a jerk about that, it at least buys you some time to get back to the truck and validate with the real ID/tags. But it shouldn’t be an issue. Jersey has way worse problems of public safety than a hunter with electronic credentials.

For the sake of your future back, neck and hip get rid of that back pocket wallet. My back and neck feels much better since getting a small front pocket wallet.

Edit: I quit carrying a wallet in my back pocket years ago when my chiropractor tapped on it one day while he was adjusting my neck and said "these things right here keep me in business"

I was sure you were trying to pull my chain until I actually googled front pocket wallet, back pocket wallet etc etc....

I always thought a wallet is a wallet....

I have been learned....you boys are using fancy words

I have never put my wallet in my back pant pocket, didn't know people actually did that because the one time I did, it was impossible to sit down. Why would anyone do this???

You got a skull for your brain, a plastic sleeve for your comb, and a wallet for your money!!! :)

I've had a wallet in my back pocket for 40 years... always thought that's what everyone did! I just did what my father did. Never questioned it. "Where ELSE would you put your wallet??"

I cut the wallet cord about 7 years ago. And haven't looked back. My wallet would collect all kinds of crap. I went with a minimalist wallet or front wallet and it's been pretty great. Found out that I wasn't missing any of the other crap items/cards that weren't used or needed regularly.

I purchased a Dango brand. It's designed and machined in the USA. Kinda pricey. But how often are you buying a new wallet?

This was the one that I chose. Not too flashy. Practical.

Sciatica drove me to a front pocket wallet years ago. Can’t imagine giving my Trayvax up and going back to a traditional wallet.

I have a card only wallet with money clip if needed. The only time I carry it is when I want to use specific cards on a trip, otherwise my phone case has room for my ID and two cards that makes it flush with the camera bump so popular nowadays. Hunting license/tags stay with my pack.

I might have to look into ditching it and follow the youth on this one...maybe get one of those thin things...

But, can we still call it a "wallet" though? ;) I kid with the Seinfeld clips, but I really do resonate with George, I really do :) I feel old lol

Jerry: "You know, it is better without this big wallet. It's more comfortable."

George: "It doesn't MATTER if it's more comfortable... it's WRONG!"

:tearsofjoy:
