ILF

Every time I order I always get free shipping since I spend to much but to be honest they don’t always have a lot of trad stuff in show room to purchase right away but have to call if you know your going there so they can pull from their warehouse in leola pa. I think I’m gonna just order online from now on. A lot easier in the long run. More set up for compound guys but I still like the place
That is why when I go I just go to the warehouse to shop. It’s nice having friends that allow me to do it.

I agree, I was surprised when I went to the trad corner how much little inventory they had in the showroom for trad.

I remember a few years back they had a fantastic amount of ilf and trad bows in that corner and a good inventory of just about everything you would need. I hate to say I was really disappointed this trip as several items I enquired about after a 45 minute wait was told I would have to order online and they didn’t even bother to check or anything. I was even willing to drive down the road to pick up if needed but I hate to say the workers in there were far from helpful and I could understand if they was swamped but they wasn’t as I was there for 2 hours I feel they were more interested in helping the compound guys which I’m finding in a lot of places I’m not knocking lancasters but after that experience I will just order online and not go back and I overheard a few other customers grumbling like that and the funny part I went there after viewing the entire paper catalog and checking online if it’s in stock online and I had a 3 sheets of items I wanted to purchase and like I said I like lancasters but not going in there again

I shoot 2 ILF bows. My olympic recurve is an SF Forged with Premium plus carbon/wood limbs and it's an absolute sweetheart to shoot. My hunting bow is a Junxing F-166 for which I have 45 and 50 lb limbs, it's a cheap bow but shoots well and is fully tillerable. My only complaint is it only has 1 tapped hole in the cutout so I can't mount a wrap around rest. I've thought of drilling and tapping a second hole but haven't yet. I am going to try a brush rest on it which would eliminate the need for that, but I'll have to see if it works and if I like it.

I started this thread to see who else on this board shoots ILF and also to eventually announce a riser give away.

This is what is left of my warf risers. I have given several away over the years to promote our sport as well as to get others into shooting ILF.
It is a very good system and not rocket science.

I will put everyone that already posted here in the drawing and will keep it open thru tomorrow evening.

Numbers will be your post number or for those that posted several times, your first post..

I am very fond of my PSE Kingfishers, the two green tiger stripes on the left.
I will " give" one away for shipping and a six pack. About $25

I hope the winner will put it to good use and not just trade or sell it.

I could have done this on other boards but I want to do it here.

Good Luck.

God bless us all.Screenshot_20200802-072520_Gallery.jpg

I have zero experience with an ILF, but the warf bows are the most appealing to me. Just a cool factor. Count me in, please.

Ok.
I will make up the numbers and have my granddaughter draw a winner.
I will post tomorrow.

Good night

I'd be interested in your opinions on your different risers. Which ones you like the best or worst, etc. Looks like you have a few different lengths there and have had a few to compare. I missed out on a black bear recently and have been keeping my eyes peeled ever since.

Except for the Black Bear mini mag the rest are all just over 20".

The Black Bear works very well with many limbs and make a very good bow.

The Rambo, Spectra which is Rambo with centershot window, Kingfisher and Silverhawk are my favorites. I shoot recurve limbs.

Resurrecting an old thread...

Very generous of you, Bigfoot. And a nice collection to boot.

Have been shooting Das/Ilf bows for the last 15 years or so. Cannot beat the modular nature of the bows. Changing limbs at will, and having limbs universally available is a winner. At the moment I have three risers, 17" and 21" Das and 25" Ilf. Love them.

Hunting with a black bear ILF warf with galaxy sear limbs pulling about 38#. Easton camo hunters 1916 29" 125 snuffers and 3" feathers. Shoots nice and quiet. Also very impressed with how easy it is to tune a samick sage. It is marked at 45# but getting 40# out of it. Trying to tune up a samick discovery with discovery foam/carbon limbs at 45# and pulling that actual weight. Ordered a trad ILF riser from 3 rivers, the fancy wood one, to make a longbow with some of their das limbs. Sticking with ILF kept me from buying a used custom bow.
