Illegal Ladder Stands on Public Land

I dont find many stands here in Louisiana a few but the preferred stand here is a climbing stand but I pull every piece of flagging I see and all reflective pins. I use clip on style every now and then but I pull them when I'm done with a spot

I’m in PA. See the same thing, I just mark them in OnX and move on. My guess is a very high percentage of them only get hunted opening morning of rifle season or haven’t been hunted in many many years. Over the past five years i have hunted a particular game land often through archery season, second week of rifle and late flintlock/archery. I probably have a dozen stands marked within a 1/2 mile radius. In that time i saw one guy walk past me in archery season and heard one shot the last Saturday of rifle season. Never hunted there the first week of rifle, that is reserved for our family camp in the big woods.

I’ve found several here in ga, and won’t hesitate to sit in one. The thought of taking it or causing damage to something that’s not mine is out of the question. Just Sit in the dang thing! There are no reserved spots on public land. If I see orange, I head another direction. If I find a stand, pretty good chance I’ll sit in it and check out the view….I have found several I would not climb up 3 steps too!
