No pack. 3-7 pounds
No knee pads necessary

It carries well feels light.
I love the Cruzr XC for comfort but sold it recently. I cannot handle knees on the tree anymore. Bad 62 year old knees say I only want to use the JX3.

If I had young knees I would prefer the Cruzr XC for at least half my hunts.

I dont mind the knees. And im looking into the cruzer or merlin for next year. My old azz trophyline will due this year

Never tried the XC but have the Merlin. It’s the most comfortable saddle I’ve sat in other than my JX3. Merlin for morning/evening sits and JX3 for all day or even those super cold bundled up sits.

I owned the areo hunter flex tree saddle in past. How does the Merlin compare to areo hunter flex? I currently own the Cruz xc I just got it last week but I haven't it because I have used it been hunting from the ground.

Never sat in a flex but I would assume it’s very similar.
