Toying around with trying to make a back quiver work this year while afield and I'm running into an issue when extracting arrows with broadheads. The bleeder blades on my 4 blade Magnus Stinger Killer Bees slice the side of my flattened 600D quiver when I draw an arrow while the quiver is on my back. If I remove the bleeder blade from the broadhead's ferrule, extraction of an arrow becomes much easier since there's less resistance (because the broadhead is flat at that point).

I'm wondering if someone makes, or has ideas regarding how to make, individual hoods for broadheads with bleeder blades. I've seen some that are made out of leather, but the ones I've come across are for 2 blade broadheads. Maybe someone would be interested in trying to 3D print some?

Thought pictures may help...
First is the normal 4 blade. Second is with the bleeder blades removed (making it a 2 blade).

i swear ive seen some plastic or stiffer rubber ones somewhere, ill try to find the link

not sure if those are the ones i looked at before or not, they custom make them for your heads. id be a little leary of kydex, its good stuff but difficult to keep from rattling around. i had a kydex release holster that i wound up not using because of the noise when walking or even just touching the release

This is all in an effort to use a back quiver? What benefits are you seeking to gain or is it just something you want to do? I could understand each.

That is a quick and easy sew job....old leather work gloves, sharpie marker, knife/scissor,xacto, awl or nail if doing by hand or speedy stitcher. I bet u have everything u need already around the house...I'd be lazy and get some scrap insulation board or styrofoam and just cut to shape and push the broadhead in

I've been trying to ditch a bow quiver for awhile. Now I have 3 different bows that fling the same arrow very well so I'm trying to find a way to centralize my arrows as a grab-and-go package. It sucks having to remove my arrows from a one bow mounted quiver and put them into another bow mounted quiver depending on the bow I want to take for the hunt.

You dont need a pita back quiver, you need more arras. Happy I could help ;)

Could you not just put a strap on your compound bow quiver and take it with you when hunting with the other two bows? It is already a quiver, you just need to add a strap wear on your back. Thoughts?

Second idea starts with a question, quivers do you currently have on your two compound bows?

I like the Asbell shoulder quiver. Lots of adjustment for hanging down loosely or tight up under the arm pit.

Palmer Bowmaster Elite is what I prefer but some will say it's overkill. I had a Safari Tuff that I liked but if the pocket was full it wanted to flip. The Duiker is slightly smaller, no pocket.
