Hey guys. My name is obviously Aaron Jones. I am 25 and live in north east Texas. I hunt Texas public land and Arkansas public land. I am brand new to saddle hunting. Ordered the Tethrd Setup during Black Friday but looks like I should have waited for the phantom lol
I am in law enforcement where I live and love my job. But right now I am actually staying at home for awhile. On January the 6th I had a hunting accident, and I fell from my treestand/saddle from about 25 feet. Not mad at any manufacturer or anything, the fall was 100 percent user error. I unhooked my bridge to climb down to get my ramrod for my muzzleloader after it fell when I pulled up my gun. After I unhooked I lost balance and fell back.
I am extremely fortunate and only broke one vertebrae and am not dead or paralyzed. I have some screws in my back and a couple of rods but will be back at before too long. I am already walking around unassisted and the pain is slowly going away.
Since I am going to be home for a few weeks I figured I would start tweaking my hunting stuff to get it ready for next year lol
I have lots of questions and several DIY projects planned for the saddle. For those still hunting, be safe and shoot a big one! Can’t wait to keep exploring the forum. - Aaron
