It's just...a little crush... - Review of the JX3 Hybrid Saddle

I’d you’re gun or crossbow hunting, it’s a jam up way to do it because you’re 99.9% going to be sitting level to shoot. You can make a cheap little arm.

Bowhunting you’ve got a 10-20% chance you’ll be leaning or cocked a little to shoot, and it might mess camera angle up.

I clipped a wide angle GoPro to this on the harness on my strong side. Had a cool hunt I had some deer come in and it worked good.

Sametop Backpack Strap Mount Quick Clip Mount Compatible with Gopro Hero 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, Session, 3+, 3, 2, 1, Hero (2018), Fusion, DJI Osmo, Xiaomi Yi Action Cameras https://a.co/d/fp5j1Lz

Also works great to clip a camera to tether or gear strap.

All that said, I don’t bring camera gear in the woods anymore. But I may rig a mini arm for phone this season and use the 1/4-20 mount in fork plate.

I may pick up one of those clips. I’m not looking to do any serious filming. Plus I have to actually shoot something to make it worth watching ha.

Anyone film using the mount next to the adjustment knob? I wondered if there’s a way to rig up my phone or a GoPro to record.

I'm kinda wondering about finding a connect for the back of the seat for a camera arm. I picked one up off the classifieds from here, that was essentially a give away item.

I'm wondering if the pressure of a bolt through clamp style attachment system going through the plastic would cause issues.

I also have other ideas, but I'm willing to listen to any advise from someone with both jx3 and camera arm experience.

I'm not sure of positioning and location, because I've never used an arm before. I'm not looking for self filming entire hunts, but decent footage of the shot and where it runs would suffice. I have other plans for the arm if I can't figure this out.

Can I get a few pictures of the JX3 hunt ready, fully loaded for a day hunt, and with sticks attached? I see a lot of pictures with it open and partially loaded, but not the whole enchilada put together. Thank you.

These are old. Need to update this season with where I am now. But maybe they’ll help you.

No sticks unfortunately.

But when I used them, I hung them on seat back by the fork adjustment. They sat at kind of an angle. I’ll see if I can find a picture

Here’s how the beast sticks pack.

Found this on the JX3 site.

@BuffaloBill - Are those sticks on top of the JX3 after it has been closed? Is that top heavy?

The fork is extended and the sticks are slid over the fork. Then you buckle the legs straps over the sticks to hold everything together. It didn’t seem too off balance. But that’s just messing around with it in my garage.

Has anybody put the load lifter straps on a gen 1? Cant seem to figure out how they go. Just got the headrest mounted up.

Wont let me download for some reason. My harness doesnt appear to have anywhere to hook the loadlifter straps to. Maybe its just to old a version..

Are they load lifter straps or load haul straps? I see where they have the optional load lifters but don't see a single photo of load lifters installed. Weird.

They are the load lifter straps you can buy with the headrest kit. I bought it all together and installed the headrest today but see no way off attaching the straps to the harness. Thats one of the green straps on the left in the pic i posted above.

Looks like your shoulder straps (Gen 1) will need a bit of sewing for them to work. Idk, maybe there is another solution.
