That’s pretty funny but I actually lost a stand that way. On one of the parcels I hunt on the adjacent lot was bought and they started developing it sometime during May. I came out August to do a bit of trimming, couldn’t find my stand. Couldn’t even find the tree. Heck couldn’t find the forest. Turns out the survey crew came and marked an acre too far onto the property I hunt so the demo crew cleared an acre wide strip from the road all the way back to the railroad track. Oops.

That stinks but, I actually gained a platform that way. My company was looking at buying an old stone quarry that at one point had a hardwood mulch processing facility on it. When I was touring the property I noticed that there was a sandcast lone wolf tree stand on the side of one of the logs laying in a big pile. The seat was mangled but the base was still good. The day we closed on that property I went back and pulled that stand off and made a saddle platform out of it.

Hurricanes have claimed 2 lock on of mine but lucky for me they were cheap-o.....walk in just to find ur stand crushed under the tree u had it in....I retrieved 1 of them but the other is still under the tree probably rusted away by now

22 degrees below zero in parts of Maine this morning with a light wind. @Fl Canopy Stalker come on up for vacation and get out of that heat wave your having down there.
Below zero is not a temperature, it’s a lack there of. Y’all have some broken thermometers or something :sweatsmile: I suggest fleeing the artic immediately.
Seriously though we went from shorts and no shirt weather on Thursday to a daytime high (projected) of 43 today. And I wouldn’t last 10 minutes up there in real cold with y’all. I think I am freezing when the weather drops below 55
