So bought an ILF bow. I have the 21” slither riser on order with the long October mountain reaper limbs (which I’ve already received in the mail. My questions are 1. My total bow length should be 66” so my string length should be 62” right? And 2. 40# long limbs with 21” riser. I know that the poundage is less with longer riser but with long draw it increases the draw poundage. That being said. What spine for a 32” arrow black eagle brand would you recommend?

I set up an ILF bow last year, Tbow H1 Satori clone, 19” riser and medium Nika C2 limbs at 42# on 25” riser. When ordering a string went with the recommended 3” shorter than total bow length this put me in the ideal brace height range of 7 1/2” to 8 1/2”. On arrow spine it would be best to put the bow together then on a scale to see the exact poundage at your draw length. Some limbs can range from 2 to 3 lbs per inch of draw over the measured 28”. The Nika C2 limbs I have gained 3 lbs per inch increase.
I had been looking at the Slither risers they are nice with great reviews on some other forums. The Slither will also accept the Hoyt Satori adjustable side plate and after market grips.

I agree with the above post, you need to put the bow together and scale it at your draw length to know what your poundage is. It would also help to know what weight you are shooting for out front. If you are trying to setup a high foc arrow that will change the choices.

I almost got the Slither but went with the Junxing f261 very sweet riser! I also have the Tbow Hoyt Satori copy love them both. The thing I really like about the f261 is the aluminum strike plate and long thin grip.

I think the TBow will be my next bow purchase. Amazon has an olive green option on the riser and the price is right.

Crazy, I've bought 3 new, and great shooting recurves in the last 2 months and still spent less money than my Bear Resurgence cost brand new 3 years ago.

I have both the limbs and the riser now. Just waiting on my Flemish strings to arrive. I think the next set of strings I will attempt to make myself. I just didn’t want to make my first set of strings myself.
