Oh man. Where to? How long?
Can you sneak in an out of state hunt before or after?
 
On one hand, that sucks - been there, done that.
On the other hand it gets 'better' when you end up retiring someday. I've been retired from the Corps for 3 years now.. No more long-term deployments for me although I still travel for my job.

By the way, lots of folks will ask you questions about your upcoming deployment since you mentioned it; be careful about OPSEC.

Be safe on your deployment and train hard NOW so you will have a 'next' hunting season to look forward to when you get home.

I was on an attack sub so we never had a set schedule. Almost 30 years later and I still don’t know for sure if it was better or worse not knowing, lol. But....I hunted or fished, depending on the season, every free minute that I had.
