Ketchup is for fried potatoes and really not much else.

Seems like something that would be way better with gravy although that term means a lot of different things in a lot of different places. My first thought is a cheesy bechamel with a little heat.
I cover my fried taters in mustard ,weird but I love it

I would love to vote but can’t having never enjoyed such a delicacy.

a recipe would be awesome! I mean directions as well do t know my way around the culinary arts at all.

There's several versions of Pasty recipes here. The one we use is closest to the first one listed but instead of ground meat we cube the meat into about 1/4" cubes or so. We also cube the potatoes and rutabaga in similar size rather than chop. The dough is the hardest part to get right . . . in a pinch you can use purchased pie dough but I definitely like the homemade better.

Neither. Strait up hot LETHO'S pasty on highway 2. You'd think your in paradise, but it's about 60 miles to dah north.

I miss the Suomi Bakery Pasties from Houghton. Man were those good . . ., best I've ever had. Unfortunately that's a 6 1/2 hour drive north. :(

The little woman went to the grocery store today as is her usual day to shop. But I beat the wrap! After reading this I texted her a list of necessary ingredients. Had to send he r epic of a Rutabugger!

She still had to ask for assistance from the produce guy. But hey gotta make some pasty venison.

I have to admit, when they're warm out of the oven I prefer gravy. Once they're leftovers and I'm eating them cold for lunch, ketchup it is. I like them both ways.
