That looks great. I built one of the “no-weld” grinders a few years back when I tried knife making.

I've got an old Rockwell belt grinder I've been meaning on rehabbing for a while. This kinda got the spark going again, thanks!

I really enjoy making stuff like this! Me and my father have made all the stuff we need for knife making and even made a couple but now the problem is finding time to do anything!!! We need longer days!!! I wish I knew half of what my father knows and/or wish I would have spent more time listening when I was a child instead of being wild!! The things you wish you knew as a kid could fill a book and we thought we knew it all! Haha But you did a very nice job on this!! Thanks for the memories this morning!

time is the hard part, I have so many things i need and want to make, I am just wading through one thing at a time, trouble is now saddle hunting has diverted other projects this has been on the backburner for ages, but now I have made a start it will get finished before anything else gets started.

yes you are looking at a belt sander, finished product which isn't mine but it will look similar, it can go from vertical to horizontal and have different attachment wheels for grinding or sanding different things, regards wayne

Is that a pre cut, weld yourself, kit? Pulleys included?
No although the plans are free online if you want them, I plasmer cut mine then dressed the edges and reamed the holes out, water jet would be better. All my wheels I machined, I had a spare vfd that I got for a lathe and had a spare motor, Regards Wayne
