Kuhnerts Ambush

Wonder why they didn't send them out to the round 1 people that they sent the new machined posts to?
I'll be honest, my leveling mechanism is just fine, not worried about that. The teeth on my Ambush are also unique, took a grinder to them and took them right down to a point.

Please send pics of the teeth modified. Did it help with the platform's overall stability?

I wonder if that leveling stopper being longer has anything to due with mitigating some of the flex side to side?

Did this modification improve the stands performance and if so in what manner?
I felt that it helps the platform set into the tree better. With the stock teeth length, the platform has to pivot along that whole length of the teeth when you cam it over. This way they are camming over on that point which will set themselves into the tree better. In my opinion this has made a difference. With that said, one thing that you cannot completely eliminate is the flex of the platform, but I have also found that the top of the post is some very useable space when moving around the side of the platform.

Been babysitting all day made it out put on tree, it's solid, teeth are sharp bit in good.

Anyone have or has had both stands, how does Ambush compare to Assassin for stability/flex?

What is the true weight difference with stap and buckle?

Thoughts?

Don't have ambush but just from watching videos I can tell you it has a lot more flex than an assassin which has no flex at all. Con to that is weight of the assassin. Weighed mine this morning with strap it was about 6.5lbs

So all yall with the ambush might wanna check this out:

$30. 1lb. 22kn buckle. Backyard test revealed it to be super comfy.

Just an FYI.:)

I replaced the buckle with the one I prefer and will vet wrap the d rings this evening. Weighs 13oz with the new buckle. Dead quiet. And you really do forget you're wearing it. No linemans loops to flop around, you just clip the bridge to the d rings and share it with your linemans. Or I may go back to trying to find a good way to use the linemans as a "tether" once I'm at height.

Also got 2 cable aiders in. 2 mini sticks and the platform will get me 10ft in less than 5 minutes. I have a few more little changes to work through, but it's looking like a stupid-easy, stupid-comfortable, and highly effective way to hunt.

I just ordered mine.
It looks comfy from way over here. Lol
Yep. I've been kicking around a kidney belt for a while. Made some prototypes, played with an assassin harness, and sat in @ImThere's battle belt at the north bama event. Was gonna make one like his (still may) but this little nugget checked all the boxes and the price was right.

If you have a big platform, you don't need a chair, you need a countertop to lean on.

looks simple enough. I like simple

Me too. I wonder sometimes how the heck I fell down the saddle rabbit hole. I couldn't do it over again. Too much thinking. My favorite gun is a break action 20 gauge. Just grab it and shoot stuff.

I'm working towards the equivalent of that for a saddle.
Because clearly you also like playing with stuff.
