Kuiu Proximity line.

Quite a bit more insulation than the Stratus from what I'm seeing. A Stratus jacket is 24oz. Proximity is 31oz w 90/60g mapped insulation.

The Fanatic should be quite a bit warmer at 46 oz, with 120/80 mapped insulation and windstopper.

And it looks to be a bit less warm than the Eberhart scentlok collaboration:

Proximity Jacket: 160g/m^2 fleece, 90/60g mapped insulation, 97g/m^2 liner
vs
Scentlok Saddle Hunter Jacket: 180g/m^2 fleece, 100/80g mapped insulation, 180g/m^2 lining + windproof

So, the Proximity is probably closer to the Revenant Pro (100/60 mapped insulation) but without a windproof membrane.

I guess that’s a good comparison. I have had or have all those mentioned except the saddle hunter set. I think what makes the stratus feel warm is the windstopper which has its good and bad. It’s not very breathable.

Revenant pro is a nice set. It feels like a fanatic clone to me. But probably the nicest scentlok peices I have had my hands on.

Are there two revenant lines? Regular and pro?

Revenant Pro is a good comparison. Same price point as well.

I’m real interested in these pants. I’ve got a feeling that it’s going to be different trying to saddle hunt with solitude bibs on if it’s cold out, and these look like they’d be a good piece to have in the arsenal.

I really like this line. I have Sitka for the stand but everything else I own is Kuiu Valo, it's all top notch. The only thing keeping me from jumping is the Stratus system with fanatic hoody and Celsius midi is such a good system. If they had something like the fanatic hoody with a face mask I think I'd move right away. I'd have enough Valo to be a Russian doll of camo.

Maybe I'll just mix Valo with EVII but I'm just unsure if all the forkies I shoot will still show up if I don't match. It's a serious conundrum.

I’ve got mostly Kuiu verde. And a fanatic hoody. I’m mixing too.

I think the biggest thing everyone wants to know about the Proximity line is wind proof/resistance.

I haven't been hunting very long but I started with some nice (to me) UA cold gear. I went to NY during the rut to hunt with some good friends. The gear did fine down to 40 and even colder. But I sat the last day in the 30's and I was in a tree above the ridge about 100 yards away and the wind was right at my level. Holy shnikeys I was cold enough to go drop as much coin as necessary the next off-season on the sitka stuff as I never wanted to be that cold ever again.

If you get a chance to update once you've gone through some beggars lice or other little stickies please let us know. That's a potential weakness of that fabric and unfortunately I will find that stuff literally everywhere I go. Micro fleece was not a good option for me in the past, got so sick of pulling beggars lice all the time that I threw away a coat and pair of pants. Although I've resorted to mostly carrying my outer layers when it's cold I wouldn't mind having the option to move a little bit more with pit zips and side zips. I have a guide jacket and attack pants and love having zips.

Update. Today I got to hunt in the suit for the first time. 37 at daylight. Here are some more observations:

The fit is phenomenal. It was NOT bulky in the saddle.

It is warm. Had to use the pit vents after climbing the tree.

The wind was calm, but I wore it on a 2 mile 4wheeler ride to get to where I start walking. The “wind” from the ride was insignificant. I was plenty warm.

This stuff has mojo as I killed a doe with its first use. Ha!

Silent.

Good to here. Might grab the jacket in the solid brown after this season.
Been eye balling that stuff too. May grab the wind pro fleece as a test piece and add from there. Most of my warmer gear is getting a good bit of age and wear to it.

Yep, that's why I have a fanatic set as well lol. Took me two terribly cold January's to pull the trigger though. Attempted to use the vest as a mid layer recently but forecast changed and it warmed up so it stayed in the truck.

My concern is how bad its going to attracts burrs and such... I hunt some thick nasty stuff that usually causes problems with fleece type outerwear.

I forgot to mention, the set is excellent, but the pants may be the best part of the set. The jacket was great zero complaints, but I was a bit wowed by the pants. Very comfortable in the saddle.

Ya I want both but am now leaning towards the pants. I love my Stratus jacket to death but hate the bibs and pants. The proximity pants look sweet
