Hey all I’m looking to pickup a kuiu venture 2300. Question for those who have one.

Will the pro hip belt pouches work on it. I figured for 20 bucks if they fit it’s worth having to throw small stuff in.

I had one, iirc it comes with small pouches on the belt already.

How accessible are they? I’m a big boy so figuring I’d have more room on the waist belt it couldn’t hurt to add a pouch for quick access items

The stock pockets on the waist are a pretty good size. If you are bigger waist you’ll have more belt showing and you may be able to get a pouch on there as well but I don’t know if it’s necessary. I can take pictures tomorrow.

I consider the hip belts on the Venture to be very good. No problem accessing them. For a do-all the 2300 Venture is a great pack. You can easily fit all boned out whitetail quarters in it with plenty of straps on the outside to secure your sticks and extra layers you may have had...making it a one trip solution.

I used my Venture 2300 for a couple of years before deciding to just use my Pro 3600 bag on my KUIU Frame instead. The finished size of the bag is completely dependent on the load you're carrying as it bivys down so well. That extra space has come in handy during the late seasons.

All KUIU packs and accessories will be going on sale here in a few days, 25% off. I'd hold out buying any pack until then. I can't remember if it started the 6th or the 9th of May...but it's typically the best sale they offer now.

I have an 1800 and agree with the comments above that I dont think there is a need to try to add hip pouches above what is built in on the pack. The one thing I am testing is adding my kifaru sherman pocket on the back. It mounted to the pack easily and I believe it will add some flexibility to load management when also packing a critter along with additional capacity for quick access things like my pocket arm for the camera and possibly my rope system.

Where is HERE?

Yes it has pockets on the belt. The pack is very noisy. Be forewarned.
Like a bag of Doritos
Oh come on it isn’t anywhere near that bad. It’s made of cordura like our saddles so it’s a little noisy when you first get it, and that noise would be if you’re scratching it or something. It breaks in fairly quick and that noise is reduced. It makes no noise on your back, only when opening the zippers or big pockets and that’s not unique to this pack that’s just zippers if you open them fast. I had no issue with it once in the tree. It has a nice pocket up top that you can put stuff in and get to without having to open and close the pockets every time. It’s not fleece though, it’s cordura, so if that’s what you’re looking for this isn’t it.

Yeah, I have opened and closed the top pocket at least a dozen times with deer in bow range and never spooked one. I guess if compare it to an all fleece pack it might seem noisy but it is the last thing I am concerned about making noise while hunting, in a stand or on the ground.

Oh jeez… it’s noisy. Slightly noisier than mystery ranch pack. I have never had a saddle made from crinkly ass 330 cordura

You need to spend more time shooting guns without plugs or muffs and tone your dang hearing down a few notches. Just like my wife, get in the truck and by the time I get the radio turned up enough to tell if it is on music or news, she's hollerin turn it down.
