Kydex Stepp Holders

Gave up on the magnets. Too much weight and they were not holding like I wanted.

I used a webbing buckle I had laying around. Also going to pick up a nite ize wire and mess with that.

For attachment, I molded 4 molle clip ons. The two outer ones fit my saddle. The two in the middle work with my laser cut pals. Not sure how practical either is going to be for transport, but I figured I’d try it.

Still need to stealth strip it.

Man I was following along and rooting for ya. I like your alternate solution better though. Surely you can find uses for all those magnets haha

Mount half a dozen of them on a strip of wood and mount it in the kitchen and stick your favorite knives on it to keep them close at hand. Better than having them bang around in a drawer.

Returning 12 to Amazon.

The 2nd order of 6 they said I could no longer return. Amazon said keep them and refunded my $10.

Suckers are strong.

Shoot even better

Think I’m done. Here are some pics. I’m not lining the holster since i wrapped the steps and couldn’t get them to make noise. I did stealth strip the exterior since mounting them to the saddle will involve material or n kydex which equals noise while walking.

@iamcorey i had the same experience as you when i built my first holster, found that the magnets added unnecessary weight and didnt feel them holding the steps secure. Plus there’s no need to hang the holster upside down therefore eliminating the need for magnets. I put the holster in my pack and clip it on saddle when i arrive at the tree.
