Landed a bow, time to go!

I know I posted here before, but I landed a new bow to try and get into traditional archery. I’ve got a D97 Flemish twist string coming from a guy on eBay who makes them. I also have some blemished GT shafts coming that I’m gonna fletch with 4” ozark shield cut feathers. The bow is a cheaper Chinese bow, 58” AMO/25#, but looks and feels really nice as far as I can tell? Obviously idk much. The shafts that are coming are 500 spine and 30”. From Ashbys chart, I should be able to make them work from 25#-40# depending on length and weight up front. I’ve got two tabs to try. A black widow and a JT hand craft from Etsy. I’m curious if my big nose gets in the way of the string while drawing this back? Feels a little different than drawing a compound. I haven’t released any arrows yet. Anyway, just thought I’d share because I don’t really have any friends/locals that I know of who are into traditional!

Just make sure that bow is able to take D97 (or fast flight strings).

That’s a pretty bow. Im going to guess those arrows are going to be too stiff but go shoot it and see. Just remember to have fun!

The limb tips look to be reinforced with an overlay. Pretty bow

Time to watch some form videos. I shot that bow today and some were fine and others too the right. The biggest thing tho, as I was releasing, I kept hitting my nose or corner of my mouth or both, which wasn’t fun and then it made me a little shy to shoot.
