These ratcheting pruners are the bomb!
I've owned a ton of pruners and I use them constantly.
I have el cheapo pruners and I have some upper end pruners and these blow them all away.
One problem I've had with ratcheting pruners is the ratchet slipping half way thru a cut. Not with these.
These are a Treehopper product, and Mark sent them to me to take to the Pa Meet up which has been postponed. So I decided to try them out. I spent a few days shed hunting with them, and also gave them a hard workout pruning shrubs in my yard. They worked great.
One minor issue was the retainer screw for the blade came loose twice. I noticed they weren't cutting as well and I realized the lock nut wasn't holding. I tightened it and it was good as new, but it came loose again. I re-tightened and it has stayed tight after hundreds of cuts.
I do think I will add some Loctite to the screw to ensure it doesn't fail when I'm depending on it.
I highly recommend these.
