Just an old timers 2 cents here: I have owned most brands of hunting clothing and always went back to Cabelas until recently. I had First Lite Sanctuary and got a new set this season as they are listed as windproof now. They are actually slightly wind resistant but yesterday with 20 mph wind and 31 degree F. I froze in the tree with 2 good merino base layers. Just received Scentlok Revenant today and tried out in 17 degrees with the same winds and can now highly recommend this brand. I loved the fit of the First Lite as well as the quietness but the revenant is almost as quiet and I believe good for recurve distances, and stops the wind dead. Not here to argue brands, just suggesting what I think works and they are on clearance right now.

Yeah, I like the ScentLok stuff for that reason and thier H2O line will stop most rain and wind without being all that loud. Have you tried adding a layer just for wind protection?

I have an old Columbia jacket that I throw on under my ScentLok one just for that reason. It's not really all that warm, but it blocks with wind pretty well.

Yes, I have worn windpro fleece under the First Lite stuff and it improves it a lot. I just wanted to cut the bulk

I just pickup up a Revenant jacket before Christmas and I have worn it a couple of times in conditions where I felt I needed it. The first sit was in 28 degree morning with 15 to 20 mile per hour winds. I had on an undershirt, an Underarmour cold gear top and an Orange Tee shirt over that for the walk in. The jacket went over that when I got to hunting height. I paired that with a lightweight Scentlok Savanah pant over an Underarmor Storm pant and cold gear bottom. I sat about 5 hours in that and did not get cold and I have to say I am cold natured and do not do well in cold weather. The second sit was a noon to dark sit in the low 30's again with windy conditions. I had the same base layers. I did not get cold at all. The wind proof on the jacket works well. It is not bulky either. I have a Sitka Fanatic jacket and it was as warm as that in the tree. I do like the front hand muff pocket of the Sitka but the Sitka seems a bit bulkier. I really like that Scentlok puts their clothes on sale.

Post last season I picked up a Scentlok Savanah coat and pants for the early season since the swirling wind gave me fits last October. I was always a play the wind guy, but it got to the point that most sits it didn't matter what wind I wanted if I just waited 20 minutes it would be blowing that way. Twenty minutes later it would be blowing the opposite way. I had does blow at me on 6 or 8 separate sits early last season. I picked the set up on deep discount and I wanted to try out the scent reduction in hopes of not reliving all the blowing and snorting and frustration.

I have been impressed with how it worked this season. I can say that I have had zero deer blow at me this season because of scent. I did have one blow at me as I was climbing down after dark but she was 75 yards upwind and I did not realize she was there. The other day, wearing the Revenant jacket I had two doe come within 15 yards of me downwind and they didn't spook. Does the Scentlok work? I feel like it does after using it this season. By the way I am in no way affiliated with the brand or company and being a natural skeptic, I had my doubts. I do treat it the way they suggest and store it in a tote when not actually hunting, dress at the truck, and deabsorb it as needed.

Even if I was totally convinced the scent reduction didn't work, the Revanant jacket is a very good late season windproof non bulky jacket.

Thanks, just got a light and medium weight jacket for next year.

Can any of you guys compare the Revenant set to the Sitka Stratus set? I like the Stratus's ability to block the wind but, its just a little too noisy for my recurve range. Almost every deer I drew on this year was sub 15 yds and they all heard me draw my bow. I'm looking for something that blocks the wind but, is a little quieter.

I have the Sitka Fanatic, which I believe is wind proof, not the Stratus, but I can tell you the Fanatic has a little bit of a crinkle sound to it but so far it has not cost me a shot on a deer. Knock on wood. I took a buck at 8 yards a couple of years ago wearing the Fanatic. He had his mind on a doe, lol. I think the Revenant is quieter than the Fanatic and is definitely less bulky. I do love that front hand warmer muff built into the Fanatic though.

What's the sizing like on the Revanent Jacket. The first two reviews are guys that are 5'10" 180 and 5'11" 190 both recommending the XL but the second page has some newer reviews from guys that are 6'2, 220lbs saying the large fits them. I'm 6' 185lbs and ordered the XL but, thinking it may be too big now

Is your Fanatic Jacket in the Elevated II camo? If so, is it the newest model? The materials are different and the update was supposed to address fabric noise.

I have the Fanatic Jacket in the old Elevated Forest camo, which was not produced in berber fleece like the EVII series. That was the best of the bunch imo. Dead quiet, and seems less bulky. The fit on the newer stuff is a bit more generous. I have the EV II Fanatic Jacket but haven't used it because it doesn't fit me as well as my original.

The old Elevated Forest Stratus Jacket was better imo as well....I use it most of bow season...and I have the EVII version as backup.

If Sitka made the old stuff in Open Country, I'd be done browsing when these kinds of posts pop up.

Instead...I've got a tracking number....

Stratus bibs and jacket. Windproof and with good layers very warm. Wore this in 25 degrees with good layers and was perfect. Must be windproof for me later in the year to keep the chill off. Camo patterns I really don't pay attention to

Plebe, I have the older version of the Elevated 2, I believe. They say the newer version is quieter, but I have no experience with it. It is a great jacket and has allowed me to be on stand many a day when I could not have been otherwise, or at least in something I could draw a bow in.

I am 5-8 180 and the Large has room for a light puffy and a base layer.

GCTerpfan, the sizing on the Revenant is in my opinion slightly tight. I am 5'11 and 150 with a 30-inch waist. I got the Medium to allow a bit of layering and it fits me well. The arms are somewhat formfitting. I have room for a fleece vest if I wanted to add that but not too much else. I wear a small in the Savanah Aerohunter early season jacket.
