Who makes the best stuff? Currently running a set of hogwires I had put on my bow when new that are 3... maybe almost 4 years old. Time for a new set. Should I stay with hogwires? Not sure if they are still in business or what the story is but their website leaves a lot to be desired. ABB? 60X? I've been reading a lot of good stuff about archeryshack as well.

I haven’t tried a lot of strings but I recently got a string for my bow from GAS Bowstrings and have been happy with it. They said no stretch and after I put the string on and sighted the bow I do think I had a little stretch after 100 shots or so I slightly retuned but that very well could have been my shooting or bow and not the string.

I've only had mine replaced once and I used ThreadZ. I actually drove to their shop that is about 1.5 hours from me. No complaints. They've held up pretty well the past three seasons.

Personally I love America's best I have their Platinum strings and they have a 2 year warranty they are here in Ohio where I'm from and the customer service was awesome I had so questions when I cut my peep out the string was a few months old and I cut some fibers I sent a picture and email and they said the string needed replacement I offered to pay for it they wouldn't accept and sent me a new main string out, they are awesome I haven't had any issues and 0 peep rotation they are the only strings I'll buy

I’ve used 60x and put 60x strings in 2 other bows. I like them, fair price and little to no stretch. Also they’re really quick on shipping.

Another vote for GAS. I do have the Ghost XV camo - very nice quality set.

I like Catfish Custom the most. But 60x and GAS has the quickest shipping time and are pretty good for being a bigger makers. 60x and Vaportrail has clearance sections which l routinely check for my bow. With the way technology and how 99% of them use the same materials. Most strings makers are good now

This makes my second season with a new set of Winners choice strings on my Obsession Bow. They seem to be holding up and shooting better than the original ABB strings that came on the bow.

I used to used catfish custom, have since switched to John’s Custom archery. Nothing wrong with catfish, John is a local Virginian and builds amazing strings.

Catfish customs or phantom. Mike at catfish has excellent customer service. I use him for my customers that want custom strings and no specific request to whom.

I've put strings on from archeryshack the last three times and have had no issues with them and they're priced lower than a lot of other builders. They post over on archerytalk and I've had nothing but positive experiences with them. Also put on a set of catfish customs and they were as good as everyone says.

I run JBK out of Maine on all mine and my buddies bows. I’ve used several other makers and find his have the best of the best for me.
