Anybody have any recommendations? Never had any on the back end of the arrow, so this is an unknown to me, but where I am hunting this year is over grown and it is a bit harder to find the pass through arrow, or a miss. Any suggestions would be awesome.

I recommend you avoid the cheap Chinese ones on Amazon. I've got two packs of those now. They suck. They don't fit the arrow shaft correctly, or the on/off mechanism is unreliable, there's no tab on one side so you can figure out your index in the dark.

There's a Facebook group for Woody's archery supplies. They're making some nocks that look pretty good. Small diameter size are not available yet though.

I've used Lumenoks in the past and they're good. I switched it up this year and shot 4 deer this year using the same Nockturnal insert and it's still working fine. The arrows with the Nockturnal have stuck in the grass behind the deer on three and we're still bright enough to see through the grass. On one shot, the arrow hit the opposite shoulder and the arrow was sticking out of the deer enough to see it lit which helped recovery.

I've been using nockturnals since I started using lighted nocks. It's been 7 years now and I still like them. I try to buy them in the offseason because I can find some much better deals than during the season.

i used glory nocks last season. they are by far the easiest to turn off. switched to the lumenok hd orange this year. they are the biggest pain to turn off. they weigh 20-24 grains (trying the uefoc arrows out this season) and i really like how close they are to the shape of my regualr x nocks as far as fitting in the d loop. The glory knocks are wide and my dloop was pinching on them a little bit. Also the lumenoks have a replaceable battery and seem to last wayyyy longer and the hd orange is the brightest ive used so far.

I just started with nockturnals this year. They seem to group perfect and work good for me. But my only complaint is they do not hold on the string like my original h nocks. Not that it's been a problem, its just not the same. Granted I've only shot them a few times and then killed a doe with them so the jury is still out I guess.

I bit the bullet and bought some Firenocks. I hope to get a few season out of the batteries. All the components are replaceable too. I like how easy they turn off, just drop them on your boot and you're done. The target ones are even easier. They turn themselves off about 15 seconds after the shot.

I don’t use them because I don’t want the added weight on the back of the arrow.

also, isn’t it weird we can’t get this technology dialed in and really low failure rates? It seems so simple.

when I did use them it was nocturnal, and they seemed to last me a season, sometimes. It’s been several years though

Nocturnal is good if they work out of the package
Lumenock I had problems
Picked up some nap thunderglo off camofire and they are very difficult to turn off...I need 2 sets of pliers to turn them off
I wanted to get the glory nock this year but they sold out whenever I went to get some

How did u clean them out? All the 1s I had pass thru an animal filled up the nock with blood...I sprayed with water but I couldn't get it all out and the dried blood fouled then up and they don't work anymore

Just the sink and water. There's still deer gunk in there but it turns on and off. Didn't seem to offset my f.o.c. too much, ha!

this video is what really got me realizing how much weight on the rear end makes a difference. i used a normal nock on my second deer this season that cost me 30 dollars though...(stupid uefoc arrows aint cheap) so its definitely worth the added weight being able to find your arrow

Sorry I didn't read your above post! I wasn't trying to be sarcastic or make a comment towards you. I was just joking the added deer gunk still in the nock didn't seem to effect the functionality of the nock or accuracy of the arrow.

I got to preview some new .204 lighted nocks from Woody's Archery Supplies and filmed a review.

I tried 3 different types of lighted nocks this past summer and didn't like any of them. Lumenocks, Nocturnals and Glory Nocks. Some didn't work straight out of the package and some worked for 2 or 3 shots and then stopped working. For the price of them I didn't think they were worth the money so I gave up on them all together.

I kind of have up on them. I bought some of these for my arrows. I got the .25" and put it right below my nock. Can use regular nocks and still have a better chance to find my arrow.

I've tried about every lighted nock on the market the only one that's reliable enough to be worth the money to me is firenocks.

I tried nockturnals, lumenocks and glory necks, settled on the glory nocks. They suite the purpose and havent had any issues, even with one nock going through 2 different deer
