Will a slide on quiver affect my bows tune? Been looking at snagging one and it came across my mind. Currently have a quiver I've used since 2009 or so that came off of my old wheel bow and have it bolted onto the riser since its a warf.

I've always used a Selway slide on and liked them but the Great Northern Strap On looks nice. The Hood is not as bulky and thinner. I've always tuned w/quiver so never had a problem. Take it off for 3 D and no issues.

I have used great northern in the past and worked fine. I am trying the thunder horn lynx theis year strapped right to the fade outs. Seems to shoot the same, but as mentioned it does affect the balance a little. I went with the lynx because I like to take off the quiver at the hunting location. But practice both ways in case.

I haven’t noticed it that much on longbows but a bit more so on recurves. Although I was never that great at either. I have used a catquiver so that took the question out of the equation.
It’s always easier shooting more accurately without the extra weight of a strap on or clip on quiver in my opinion. Good luck in your quest.

The closer you have any limb mounted quiver to the riser, the better.
There is the least amount of flex or limb function close to the base of the limb, which would be as close to the riser as possible.

For a self-bow, horse bow or similar style bows, it would be best to NOT have a bow mounted quiver, due to how those bows function/flex.
