Hi guys,i am sure this has been covered but i cant seem to find it. What knot do you guys use to attach your linemans belt to your saddle? I have some predator rope i want to use for my tether and linemans belt..One section has a spliced end,i was thinking of using that for my tether.

Girth hitch your linemans belt to your saddle loop. Carabiner on opposite end.

I've girth hitched mine and also used a figure 8 follow through. I've stuck with the figure 8 because it's one of the strongest knots you can make, I was taught by my old Navy Chief it retains up to 70-80% strength. I also use it because it rotates around the loop more freely and I like that. I don't like how the girth hitch binds. I'm also using smaller diameter sterling line tho so I don't have a ginormous knot either. I think you'd be fine with a girth hitch as well since I can't imagine you're supporting that much weight with it and most modern line has fairly high breaking strength.
