LIVE from SaddlePalooza 2019

Yeah, my brother and I talked about how you don’t see trucks like @catman529 where we live. They’ve rusted away at least a decade ago. The salt trucks were out in force today again.

Saddlepalooza 2019 was awesome. Met plenty of really decent new folks and watered a few relationship flowers from last last year. We have a neat thing going here. Let’s do it again next year. Or maybe just have mini-paloozas every other weekend. Remember folks, in order live in saddle hunting infamy, you must attend Saddlepalooza. Also, let’s not forget ole @redsquirrel . That guy started it all.

Saddleplooza 2019 had its ups and downs for me! Lol I got a story to tell anyways.
Heart felt thank you to @g2outdoors He done an excellent job as normal. I would like to thank @redsquirrel for the platform for all of us to connect. As normal I’m amazed at the innovation with this group of guys. We had trophyline, Mantis, Kestrel, sitdrags, fleece saddles, and JX3 to name some of them. We had several types of climbing method. @DanO brought some quality items. Carl had some versa straps there. About a half dozen fat tire bikes. Thanks to @denots and @Deltahunter for lunch. It was off the hook!
I met a ton of new guys and seen a few old friends. I really enjoy it.

I didn’t show up until Saturday and most of the stuff was sold out. It is amazing the stuff that some of these guys come up with. A lot of it is a collaborative effort between several people. It’s an amazing community. Thanks @redsquirrel for starting saddlehunter.com and working so hard to keep it as great as it is. It’s taken a great group of guys to come up with all of this stuff and without a platform to share it on many of the products we use today wouldn’t be available.
Also thanks to @g2outdoors for the work it takes to put this together so we can try out all this cool stuff. From dealing with firearms registration and food to buttering up the camp staff who’s facility was no match for that much food that much beer in that much mud.

Also it has been great because of the ones that showed up. I’ve been three years in a row. Year one day one @ImThere says if you need to borrow a gun let me know I brought a bunch. Five minutes after I met the guy. Each year I have met a pile of new people yet never feel like a stranger. It really is a great community.

Totally awesome experience for me and my son. It's amazing how total strangers can show up and act like they've known each other for a lifetime. I'm new to the forum, but I'll be active here now. I expected more hunting, but honestly enjoyed the people more than looking for the pigs. Thanks to you all. And oh...the food. Holy crap...the food was out of this world.

If you go to saddlepalooza to kill a pig you're gonna be disappointed. If you go to hang out with some solid dudes and enjoy the company of the best the hunting community has to offer, you won't attend a better event.

I went in the woods twice, fished twice and hung around camp the rest of the time. I feel like that was a good ratio! haha

Well I'm glad you got to fly in for a while. It was good to see you again. Elk this Sept? Late season Louisiana rut?
