Spending my second afternoon hunt in a saddle. Made one out of fleece just to try it out and see how things go. Yes I have a harness on also. The first night was fun, had one mishap but stayed in the saddle as I spun around the tree almost upside down lol. Got a shot at a doe but shot over he r back cause she jumped the string on me since she was already skittish after catching a whiff of me thanks to a fork horn bring her in down wind of me. Glad I decided to give this a shot this year cause it's a game changer for me.

Here we go...
Hunting some beautiful private land in OH and I’m hooked into an old gangly walnut tree with three hammered scrapes surrounding me. Had to get into this old rusty Gorilla stand so I don’t piss off the landowner, so I’m strapped in with my lineman’s, my tether, and a lifeline for ascent using my shortened bridge as a belay loop.
Missed a doe by a few inches the other night, and this button buck came in to work the primary scrape right quick tonight. I hope he has friends in the next half hour!

Here's some pictures from my sika hunt on assateague island I didn't have any decent shot opportunities but I had some close encounters the other members of my group did have success in fact I was the only one that didn't get a sika .

I don't think I could have drawn up a better morning as far as conditions go. Rain for the last 2 days that broke off at shooting light. 40* with a 5 to 10 mph north wind. Watching a bench between to oak ridges loaded with acorns. But not a deer to disturb my nature watching.

Lol... yes I did.

Today was the first sit with it. I like it. Still not getting rid of my Kestrel.

I will tell you I have a Gameplan Leech that I had sitting and is perfect for this. Sticks between the seat and back.
