Live from the saddle 2019

Took my nephew hunting. He was home on leave. I hoped to at least get him on a doe but it wasn’t to be. It was his first saddle sit and the first time my kite has been to the woods.

Last sit of the NC 2019 season. Hopefully this buck that’s been toying with me had a very happy New Years celebration last night and is willing to poke his rack out one more time.

Ringing in the new year with a nice, cold saddle hunt here in TN. Already saw just my second bobcat ever this morning, so anything else will just be gravy!

May your 2020 be full of good gear, great friends, and filled tags!

It’s not a saddle friendly weather day.

I did some scouting earlier today here in NY and brought a tick home with me. That is nuts having ticks active in these parts in January. The tick population has just exploded here in the last few years.

Middle of January in a T-Shirt. Gotta love Louisiana
