Crocin and rockin hahaha that’s freaking awesome

Ok @boyne bowhunter. Not quite live but this was this evenings sit. The doe on the left spent 30 minutes trying to find me. She smelled where I moved the doe around this morning and took pictures. Looked like a beagle trailing a rabbit. She never found be but wouldn’t give up until it got dark. She literally could have cared less about the gallon of blood.
Regardless of how I looked I was enjoying myself. It was just 90 degrees CB0F8056-A0DC-43E5-9220-9F1026DB4B64.jpegD9700AA2-1C7C-4AB8-AC38-C83762BAA2C6.jpeg

"just 90 degrees" . . . .yikes! Not sure we got north of 50 here today, you can keep those temps!

U guys suck.....
I went back and reviewed my 2019 deer log. Warmest day I hunted was 70F on Oct 1st (too hot). Coldest day I hunted was -5F on Nov 16th. The -5F day was pretty calm so that wasn't too bad. There were several single digit days in December that I hunted with 20+ mph winds. Those will make you think twice about going out . . . :)

My season opens this Saturday. I better get out and scout. High of 71 predicted for Saturday.

The cool weather had them moving good here yesterday for the opener. My buddy and I hunted an oak flat that's been productive for me early season and both had steady action and does down by 9 am. Then put another buddy in there and he killed his first deer right before dark. Acorns are a bit scarce here this year but the few swamp chestnut oaks that are dropping are deer magnets.

Hunted a marsh island in the evening. Very little deer sign out there compared to the oak flats on the mainland, but I gave it a sit knowing that the big old boys often don't leave much sign close to where they bed out here because it attracts hunters. Not much action, as expected. Right before dark I heard some sloshing in the marsh and this doe and her fawn popped out. IMG_20200912_071551__01.jpgIMG_20200912_182641.jpg

Patch of white oaks on the edge of some jack pine bedding. HOT but got a good wind knocking these acorns down all around me. Kicked a doe out of her bed on the way in. Hopefully it’s a good one!

What part of Georgia are you hunting?.

Clean miss on a mature chocolate horned 8... came out at 50 and made a rub. Walking to my 9 o’clock. Shot him for 25 must have been 30. Knew he wasn’t gonna stop long enough to get a range on him.

Don’t know what it is man but it’s the second year in a row that I’ve done that early season. Don’t know what i have to do to connect but this is killing me

Stay hooked with it. You did 99% of bow hunting perfect if you let an arrow go at a big buck.
