1.) Tree size, the one im in now is about 25-30in in diameter. only gives me about 270 deg of rotation. It also makes the spacing on a ROS awkward. Its hard to push off from the tree to release the whale tale.
2.) Securing the ROS. I used a common strap with push release and i cant get it tight enough to hold the steps where i want them. They shifted down about 6in the minute I put weight into them. Thinking maybe a ratchet strap?
3.) Moving around the tree quietly. I had practiced this a couple of times, but definetly need some more. I think part of it is just being a rookie and not being used to to mobility of the whole thing.
Other than that. I love how comfortable the JX3 is. Definetly better than the old hang on im used to.

Yes. People have posted about a Ropeman slipping on that I-beam section of carabiner. I hope you have a stopper knot at the end of your tether. I would tie a blocking slip knot just below the Ropeman as well.Turn your carabiner around bud
