Need guidance. I think l hear a buck making a rub nearby. Should i grunt him, rub some antlers against tree softly, or just stay quiet and hope he head to my direction?

Grunt 100% woulda been the move IMO. How I killed my buck last year. Saw him thrashing a tree mid October. I grunted once and he thrashed some more. Grunted a second time and he came right in to chip shot range

Well mood point. A lovely dog came running right to my tree and started barking up at me. Joggers ran to get dog. Nice to know no matter where you go on public lands. People still dont read sign that said this time of year its closed for hunting. MERICA!

Those deer don’t care about that, they see people on those trails all day. Plus I don’t feel that encounter of dog/owner coming & going will affect you if anything it may help cover your ground scent.

Just got swarmed but a flock of 200+ grackles. Noisy buggers.

They are! I love to see their big flocks in the fall,I had a couple hundred fly over me while I was working on a chimney a few days ago.

Base hitch SRT. She came from the opposite direction from what I was expecting. Got her at about 7 yards.

First saddle deer and first archery deer.
