I've started using my pull down cord as my bow lowering cord. It helps me not forget to clip it into the rappel rope (I don't like it dangling while I hunt) and makes it the last thing I do before I go down
This is exactly what I do. The only downfall is that when I'm climbing in the offseason I often forget to clip it on because I'm not lowering anything then. :tearsofjoy:

Still soft and gooey inside? Late summer drought wrecked ours. Hands down my favorite mast crop to hunt.
Yes they are soft and gooey. The creek is fed by multiple seeps that come out of a ridge system to the West and the trees are between the ridge and creek. I also have some good entertainment while hunting that creek bottom, a family of four otters stay busy on that stretch.

Oh, you are a fan of last minute bonus climbs as well eh? Yeah I totally mean to leave my rope up there in the summer or when I'm switching a camera. All about the extra practice. Definitely didn't forget to pull it down, nope not me!

If it blows it goes!

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving! This morning I am thankful for my family, my saddle, my bow, all of you, and of course the 14 radishes the deer left in the ground when the temp was 14 degrees. Oh, plus the 900 does I spooked from the front field this morning. Them too.

I just killed the biggest buck of my life… the story is unreal, it’s gonna take me a couple days to do a write up but I will, I’m miles deep and have one sketchy bar of service, an absolute giant, always follow your dreams and never give up my friends.

Heck ya! Congrats. I played cat and mouse with what would have been my biggest buck this morning, but never got a shot.

Out for a quick afternoon hunt. I had some good bucks passing through while I was away so maybe I’ll catch something crossing. I hear some chasing right out of eye sight, hopefully not coyotes. I did have a deer blow at me coming in but decided to set up anyway. Wind is swirling. Glad to be back. Happy thanksgiving. 816F57B3-BA1C-448F-9AA9-1131E0B6BD30.jpeg
