Thanks but i'm in Missouri and it's all good. It looks bad and drove my OCD crazy at first, but when I draw it all lines up. After the season is over in 2 weeks, I'll head to a different shop and have them give the whole bow a look over.

I had 3 does walk across a wide open clearcut to me at 9:00 this morning. Unfortunately I wasn't set up for that approach direction and where they passed by me there was just too much cover between us for a shot. One of them went by inside 10 yds.

Milkweed is one of my favorite pieces of gear.
Might toss out a turkey cluck or two and see if a deer doesn’t hate it enough to scoot by. Wind is perfect and I’m on the edge of bedding. Wife and kids are all gone until after sunset. Should be amazing to just be out here. Might flurry, too. Wouldn’t that be just the bee’s yes-please…

My freezer is yelling at me so I'm reconsidering.

Seriously though, I do have a really hard time reconciling shooting a doe with myself. I have nothing against people taking does, its just something that's been ingrained in me since I was a very young hunter. I see it as you guys are helping me cure that affliction.

Three does near me, passed at 50ish yards. Rain became snow. Three does on camera near a stand I was going to hunt, could have been freezer queens. Maybe, maybe not. Good stuff either way. Half hour to close the deal.

Happy new year folks! View attachment 78982had my first picker moment of this season. 24’ up in a hickory & settled into my tether, released tension in my LB & all is well. As I was fishing my LB around my bow a little pc of that hickory bark holding my tether up slipped loose & I dropped less than an inch…. Gave me that good ol kestrel feeling. That’ll get you good & alert for the morning hunt.

I have enjoyed these posts. Good to see other guys and gals setting up and hunting. When you do this next year it would be fun to have the posters post a screen shot of where they are hunting. Either a topo or areal photo. I not asking for their location just a pic and why they set up their. Even a old guy like me can learn something new.
