Back in the area I had all of the activity Thursday. Woods are a lot quieter today. Passed a small buck that had 4 pnts in his right side and a spike in his left. Had him at 7 yds Thursday also. Him and a 6 pnt have been chasing a doe around 75yds to my left all morning.

There’s nothing really remarkable about this spot other than it’s hard to get to and loaded with deer during the day. It’s a 20 acre flat of telephone pole sized cherry trees. It’s got some scattered red oaks and pockets of witch hazel for some underbrush. But deer will spend all day in here bedding and browsing on wild cherries and red oaks acorns. It’s hard to hunt with a bow because there is nothing that defines movement. It’s completely monotonous. It’s a great first day of rifle spot though.
