Funny you say that. I saw all those replies about how amazing fog is & I’ve had the exact opposite experience.Well y'all are WRONG LOL woods were totally dead the last 4 hours. Once the fog cleared it's been non-stop action. Let a 6 and 8 pt go in the span of 20 minutes
I thought it was the salted caramel version of that pack……..Snow in the rut baby! What it's all about View attachment 122743
I’ve spooked more deer that were right in front of me on foggy days than I’ve ever seen from a distance on clear days, for the most part. I can think of a few clear days that were money but mostly I bank on low visibility meaning I will either get closer to the deer (on purpose or otherwise) or the deer will move closer before spooking.Funny you say that. I saw all those replies about how amazing fog is & I’ve had the exact opposite experience.
Ive definitely killed more than 50% of my deer on overcast or foggy days.
Maybe that’s just because Ohio is gloomy more than 50% of the time. Like, 90% of the time…
Chilly afternoon.

I don't know how you overachiever are turning down 8pters. Im at a level of taking a shot at one doe holding bunny ears behind another doe....30 minutes to go till the buzzer here, beautiful symmetric 8pter walked by 10 yards, was on him and was a chip shot. I let him walk.. no more 8pters! Gotta stay strong
I'm gunna regret it guaranteed haha
Last season was the single worst deer season I ever had. Was getting to the point I was debating buying a plane ticket to Vatican city for the pope to remove the curse from me.I don't know how you overachiever are turning down 8pters. We’re routing for you!Last season was the single worst deer season I ever had. Was getting to the point I was debating buying a plane ticket to Vatican city for the pope to remove the curse from me.
I ending up shooting a small buck in rifle just cause I was so sick of hunting. And I enormously regretted it. I wasn't proud of it. Felt bad for taking it's life. Then I realized I don't actually care about killing the animal. It's this constant game of cat and mouse that I cherish playing with these animals.
Even when Im sick and tired of hunting, and the 230am mornings killing me, the thought of not going out pursing them gets me sick to my core. It'd be like Buford T Justice calling off the chase of the bandit. Can't happen
All deer I've seen the last couple of days, not a one of them walked by the camera. They are deceiving little turdsIts been a tough few days. Deer numbers as a whole seem to be down. Very little sign, slow cameras, etc. I haven't seen a doe.
Stay true to your convictions @bigmike2330 minutes to go till the buzzer here, beautiful symmetric 8pter walked by 10 yards, was on him and was a chip shot. I let him walk.. no more 8pters! Gotta stay strong
