XOP Climber seat as climber and platform?

For those that rappel. The other day I rappelled off the front of my lwhc. I somehow was able to put the hand climber in my lap without detaching and it followed in my lap all the way to bottom of tree while using the awesome safeguard. This was fastest tree exit yet and it limited time hanging from tree. I hope this is somewhat repeatable. Give it a try.
It has also been a pleasure using the htp rope and a kong triangle as a tether while climbing. Just lift up on the rope and it looses well. Rather than fighting with other tethers like oplux to advance the rope.

@Dylan9862003 would you say that this induces the same pressure you talked about in post #73? This is a direct pinching of the belt...

Possibly. I doubt the bungee is enough pressure to compare but it is likely adding some stress. Strapping like this really only keeps the stand from falling when unloaded right?

On trees where the platform doesn't feel like it locks in to me, I put a ratchet strap around it with two silent approach steps(soon to be replaced with squirrel steps) and cinch it down tight. I also have an OCB to try and see if gets it tight enough to allow side pressure.
