Anyone ever made a platform out of an old sandcast hand climber, either base or top. It's an original with the V bar in the back instead of a belt.

Pooh- what did you use as a level adjuster? I have one and I’m trying to decide how to handle that. I see those side wing brackets is that what you used to make it solid against the post?
 
I cut that center bar out of the platform and my vertical post went in there. There is no leveling adjustment. Those wings/brackets could move forwards and backwards a bit til I found the spot I wanted and tightened it down. I'm regretting it now, but I sold it.
