LWCG 0.5 Full Season Review

Yes, I love the thought of being able to have so many options... lean against the tree, sit on seat then the normal saddle things.

Have you considered putting a third hand bow holder on it?
Yes i tinkered with one but sent it back due to the following:
1. its a little heavy for its purpose
2. the .5 is small as is and i dont like feeling cramped with the bow in a holder on the stand
3. Its an extra thing hanging off the stand to catch on brush
For these reasons i still prefer my screw in hawk bow holder and it fits in pouch under the seat so i can get it setup before i pull my bow up

Have you had any problems with the sharp edges on the stand? And the stand kicking out on you?
I have had no issues with kick out even only using one strap but getting a shot off behind the tree doesnt require extreme side pressure like some smaller platforms. Sharp edges is one of my only complaints with the stand, i really hope they come up with a solution. I taped up all the spots that straps touch because my cam straps and backpack straps were getting shredded.

A dremel with a sand disk will resolve the sharlp edges. Some would say, "no way I'm sanding on a $500 stand." My response would be that its just a tool. Not like it is a freshly painted hot rod.

Yeah i know just havent got around to doing it yet and probably will in off season. Trust me i didnt mind taking an angle grinder to the teeth of my ambush platform haha, that thing popped like a SOB and the only way to get it to stop was put an angle on the teeth. Im glad to see they angled the teeth on the new ambushes.

Alright - well the $100 off a $500 gift card got me... lol I got one on the way. My Wife is super happy with me right now... . ;) lol
I talked real fast when telling my wife why I spent $800 to buy $1k gift cards in an attempt to distract her, I’m not sure she heard the numbers right yet.....

quickly exiting this page and doing my best not to visit the LWCG page. Thanks for the great review @elk yinzer and solid system as always @TCaltagirone !
Sorry dont want to twist your arm on it haha but after owning pretty much every saddle and every platform on the market the combo of the classic saddle and the .5 fits my needs 100%!

No ill will in any way!! It seems like a super sweet hybrid. Just doing my best to keep an itchy trigger finger from pressing buy right at the end of the year.

sale end in 45 minutes bro

My email says 12pm CT Christmas Day.

That being said $400 is still a bit rich for me when especially I have an XOP hang on not being used. I've been considering a saddle combo with it for next year. With good shoulder straps and a molle waist belt, the weight is pretty negligible. Also have the quick connect bracket for it.

Yeah as tempting as the $100 off gift card is theres plenty of time till next season and hopefully (fingers crossed) lwcg will address the sharp edge concerns in the off season. I believe just recently they started to do a beveled edge on the climbing sticks to eliminate the sharp edge so hopefully that will transition over to the stands as well.
