LWCG AMBUSH IS AVAILABLE AGAIN

Glad to hear the improvements are being made. Really like to get one but kinda holding off until they get all the bug's worked out

Snapped right where the hole is drilled for leveling adjustment
Wow that is a huge engineering flaw, running that adjustment bolt through the aluminum webbing like that. There is hardly any surface left to give any strength. It’s only as strong as it’s weakest point and that is a very weak point.

I hate to ask a dumb question, but it is what I do. Does the platform work with the double steps at all? I have slowly fell in to a passionate relationship with my doublesteps over the past few weeks (hated at first, now I couldn’t imagine life without them) and would love a system that works together. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes. You can run them vertical or horizontal. The biggest advantage to the attaching LWCG sticks to the Ambush is the J-Hooks. If you attach the sticks with J-Hooks the sticks will not budge.

Yes, you can stack 2 on each side of the post securing with the "j" hooks.

Reviving this thread with an Ambush update. The latest Ambush is now coming with angled teeth. The popping issue is fixed and it cams over extremely well on all types of trees. Also they beveled the edges of the post where the strap makes contact to prevent wear on the strap. Also I just realized you can build a shelf with the minis ... this may be the best platform system out there, change my mind. Note: It still flexes and I don't care. It doesn't bother me. I don't feel like I'm going to fall out of the tree and I don't feel like it's going to break.
I was in on the original release of the Ambush. I emailed them long ago and told them they needed to do this with the teeth. Took a grinder to mine and angled them. Mine has bit like a champion since I did that. Couple with doublesteps this is a solid system.
