To anyone who uses the doubles or has in the past I am curious on what you guys feel is the best attachment method for the double step sticks. Thanks

That’s what I’m leaning toward sticking with ..I’ve used rope mods before on other sticks but just wanted to see what other guys were using with these specific sticks …thanks for the input fellas !!

Cam strap was the only way I could get them tight enough to use safely.

When I had them I would say daisys and tried everything.

For my minis- I like the buckle straps best- laugh if you want

Now i agree but just got daisy chains and tried them and suprised that they are working very well. Did you trythem yet on doubles?
I sold mine over a year ago so I don't remember if I tried daisy chains but in general I haven't been a fan of daisy chains because I don't always get the stick tight enough.

Daisys are great on beast sticks. And i tried the doubles in back yard which i put really no reliability on any back yard tests but they worked okay with them.

Don’t use daisy chains with the doubles unless you use a truckers hitch with them. They will kick out… ask me how I know….

I do not have these sticks so sorry to butt in.

I have been using the Amsteel Guy: USA XL for stock attachments all season. I love how they are as light as daisy chains but have length adjustability. Anyone tried them on the “Doubles”?

3/4” buckle-less strap from LWCG using the tabs. No issues with this method slipping or kicking out. Lighter and easier to pack than the cam buckles. They perform similarly.

Daisy chains did not work well for me - at all - using the tabs or the button. (They held the stick onto the tree, but it was floppy, slack, and prone thh oh kick out. Not good.)

My 17’s was kicking out and I was using a rope mod. The 20’s I have don’t kick out with the 3/4 strap.

Back to my buckleless and favored daisy approach-

I did this to pluck the buttons as it was so noisy stacking with them. Eventually I ended up trying the caddy then some stacking buttons (30 & 65$ respectively). While they were great sticks- the stacking and stand integration, let alone mods needed to keep quiet, negated the aspects I liked over the minis. By a bunch.

I tried many of the methods but always felt off with them. Countless times I’d look down and only 3 bolts touching the tree. I gave them up.

That’s most of the time with me. Climbing straight trees is not always a option.
